Trichoscopy: Dermoscopy Hair

Hair loss (alopecia) can affect any age group and cause significant distress to the patient. The cause of hair loss can sometimes be difficult to diagnose clinically alone. Scalp biopsy and histopathology is the most definitive way of diagnosing hair loss disorders. Dermoscopy of hair (trichoscopy) is an important tool in diagnosis of hair loss. It is non-invasive, simple and quick. In this chapter we illustrate more than 100 entities in trichoscopy.
