The Design of Corrugated Waveguide Taper for EAST ECRH System

This paper proposes a designing method of corrugated waveguide taper. Based on the coupled wave theory, the paper analyses and simplifies the problem of mode coupling resulted from the change of waveguide structure parameters. The code is developed which can be applied to the design of corrugated waveguide taper with any contour structure. Meanwhile, the code has been validated through calculating the cases from references. Besides, corrugated waveguide taper suitable for ECRH system on EAST facility is designed and optimized, and great result is obtained.
