Investigation of psychological health status of medical staff in ICU of Tangshan People's Hospital

[Objective]To investigate psychological health status of medical staff in intensive care unit(ICU),and analyze the causes of their psychological stress,to propose measures for improving the mental health of ICU medical staff,and provide evidence for psychological assessment and psychological care of specific population.[Methods]SCL-90 was adopted to investigate 79 ICU medical staff.The scores were compared with those of the national norm.[Results] The total score(180.52 ± 58.21) of ICU medical staff was higher than that of the national norm(129.96 ± 38.76),with significant difference(P 0.01).The scores of other factors were significantly different with those of national norm(all P 0.01).The main psychologic status of ICU medical staff were somatization,anancastia,hostility,depression and interpersonal relationship.[Conclusion]The mental health status of medical staff in ICU of Tangshan People's Hospital is worse than the national norm.
