Solvothermal Synthesis and Crystal Structure of [H2N(CH2)2NH3]{Co[H2N(CH2)2NH2]3}[SbSe4]

The new molecular metal chalcogenoantimonate,2-aminoethylammonium tris(1,2-ethylenediamine)cobalt tetraselenoantimonate,[enH][Co(en)3][SbSe4] (en = ethylenediamine),has been synthesized by solvothermal reaction in an ethylenediamine/methanol solution at 443 K and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography.The crystal belongs to triclinic,space group P1 with a = 8.900(4),b = 9.663(5),c = 14.361(6)(A),α = 104.783(18),β = 92.4220(10),γ = 109.9920(10)°,C8H33CoN8SbSe4,Mr = 737.94,V = 1110.7(10)(A)3,Z = 2,Dc = 2.207 g/cm3,F(000) = 702,μ = 8.525 mm-1,R = 0.0648,Wr = 0.0755 and S = 1.005.The structure contains tetrahedral [SbSe4]3-anion and octahedral [Co(en)3]2+ cation,as well as the monoprotonated ethylenediamine cation [enH]+.
