Staphylococcie pleuro-pulmonaire de l'enfant

Summary The authors present a case of bilateral localised staphylococcal pneumonia in a young Cameroonian girl aged 9. A double thoracotomy was performed because of the worsening respiratory distress due to the presence and extension of the pneumatocoeles. The outcome was satisfactory despite persistence of a small deficit of the total vital capacity on spirometry, 8 months after discharge from the hospital.
