POLYMORPHUS ADENOCARCINOMA WITH 6 YEARS OF EVOLUTION: A CASE REPORT

2020
We report a case of a polymorphous adenocarcinoma (PGA) in a 57-year-old female patient, who referred for examination for lesion in the right palate. She had a history of biopsy performed 6 years ago (2013) suggestive of PGA, but without treatment. Oral exam revealed reddish macula, asymptomatic, measuring 4 cm in the right palate. An incisional biopsy was performed. Histologic examination showed the malignant epithelial tumor of salivary gland patterns include solid nest admixed with papillary cystic periphery areas and ductal elements. The final diagnosis of PGA was made. The patient was referred to complete removal of the lesion to oncologic hospital. The 6-month follow-up showed no evidence of recurrent disease.
