Test and Research on the Major Parameters in Sewage Disposal with Biological Aerated Filter

The main factors in the sewage Disposal with Biological Aerated Filter(BAF) were studied. The results showed that,compared to the downflow system,the Upflow Biological Aerated Filter( UBAF) performed better with its higher pollutants holding and the longer interval between two backwashings.In the case of UBAF,the best hydraulic loading reached 0.8~2.0 m~(3)/(m~(2)·h)and the best gas-water ratio 31~71;and when the hydraulic loading was 1.0 m~(3)/(m~(2)·h) and the gas-water ratio 51 and the inlet COD (Cr) content 605.21 mg/L,the removal rates of COD (Cr) and NH (3)-N reached 85.58 and 80.28 respectively.
