Method and apparatus for creating a panoramic view of Microscopy

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for creating a three-dimensional view of a microscopy sample with a flat extension in the x and y direction. The method comprises the steps of: a) placing the flat, three-dimensional sample on a positioner; b) receiving the sample by means of an image capturing device to obtain a first microscopy image of the sample with a first cutout; c) changing (106) the two-dimensional perspective on the sample in the z direction; d) receiving the sample by means of the image capturing device to obtain a second micrograph of the sample with a second cutout; e) determining a change in information that allows a conclusion to the change in perspective in the z direction, based on a difference between the first and second micrograph; and f) joining together the first and second micrograph in consideration of the variation information, to obtain the panorama display microscopy.
