The complete mitochondrial genome of Ptychidio macrops (Cypriniformes: Cyprinidae) and its phylogenetic implications
2018
Ptychidio macrops is endemic to China and its distribution is rather narrow. In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome of P. macrops was determined. The circle genome is 16,604 bp in length. It contains 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes and one control region. The gene composition, order, length and orientation of P. macrops are similar to those of typical vertebrate mitochondrial genomes. The overall nucleotide composition is: 31.4% A, 25.6% T, 27.1% C and 15.9% G, with a total A+T content of 57.0%. The complete mitochondrial genome of P. macrops is useful for its identification and conservation.
