Persistent Excitation in Output-Reachable Associated Signal Systems

1989
Convergence analysis of some adaptive control algorithms leads to persistency of excitation (PE) requirements on the output vector of an associated linear, time invariant system. This note presents PE conditions for the class of output-reachable, single input systems, under the assumption that an upper-bound on the reachable subspace of the system is known.
