Method for preparing glycerol single methanol ether by utilizing glycerol and methanol

2011
The invention relates to a method for preparing glycerol single methanol ether by utilizing glycerol and methanol, comprising the following steps of: mixing the methanol with glycerol in a mol ratio of (1-10): 1 to obtain a raw material; adding an acid molecular sieve into the raw material in a weight ratio of the raw material to the molecular sieve of (5-100): 1, and heating to reaction temperature of 100-300 DEG C under the protection of insert gas, 120-200 DEG C preferably; reacting for 0.5-6 hours, 1-3 hours preferably; and then cooling to room temperature, carrying out reduced pressure distillation on a mixed solution after the reaction, and separating the glycerol single methanol ether while an unreacted solution is taken as the raw material and is recycled. The method provided by the invention has the advantages that a low-cost methanol raw material is used for obtaining an oil additive with higher additional value, operation process is simple, catalyst and product can be separated easily, production cost is low, and the method is carried out in a water phase system and is an environmentally friendly green process.
