A Review of Technical Literature and Trends Related to Automotive Engine Modelling by ANN

The study presents a detailed review on various works in the field of engine modelling and highlights the current trends and requirements in automotive engine modelling. Different modelling techniques and their ability to adapt to the growing needs are studied in the paper. The paper involves three different sections under the review segment tailed by conclusions drawn from the research. The Engine modelling and simulation section focuses on the inclinations in the modelling techniques like lookup tables. ANN performance modelling segment emphases on efficiency of artificial neural networks in engine modelling with help of several literature followed by ANN calibration modelling section drifting the engine calibration techniques. Future scope of the research in engine modelling is discussed at the end of the study stating the fast-growing requirements.
