Angular distributions in the decay B -> K*l(+)l(-) RID C-5223-2009

2009
We use a sample of 384x10{sup 6} BB events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e{sup +}e{sup -} collider to study angular distributions in the rare decays B{yields}K*l{sup +}l{sup -}, where l{sup +}l{sup -} is either e{sup +}e{sup -} or {mu}{sup +}{mu}{sup -}. For low dilepton invariant masses, m{sub ll} 3.2 GeV/c{sup 2}, we measure A{sub FB}=0.76{sub -0.32}{sup +0.52}{+-}0.07 and F{sub L}=0.71{sub -0.22}{sup +0.20}{+-}0.04.
