Experimental study of relativistic effects in a 127° electrostatic cylindrical velocity analyser

1980
Abstract Accurate measurements performed on a 127° electrostatic cylindrical electron-velocity analyser are presented for the incident electron energy range 19–36 keV. The influence of relativistic effects on the energy resolution and the analyser “constant” are experimentally investigated and are found to be in good agreement with previous theoretical predictions.
