A high-purity vinylene carbonate in which the content of chlorine impurities that are to be detected by the oxyhydrogen flame combustion-ion chromatography method is substantially zero, characterized by having a Hazen unit color number of 10 or less in a nitrogen atmosphere; a nonaqueous electric solution containing the high-purity vinylene carbonate; and an electricity storage device including the nonaqueous electrolytic solution.
