Shaft Run-Out Optical Remote Sensing System For Large Generator Fault Diagnosis

In this paper a present optical noncontact displacement sensing system for diagnosing shaft run-out of large hydro generator is considered. This system is designed to realize early detection and localization of process malfunctions during normal operation or during scheduled maintenance of a hydrogenerator. The design and measurement principle of the information measuring channel with optical remote sensing generator is considered. This transducer designed for control mechanical parameters as shaft run-out and can be used large hydro generator fault diagnostic system. A block diagram of an optical remote sensing was proposed. Position of the optical sensing element and data acquisition tools of the optical remote sensing system on the generator was shown. The principle and method of measurement value of the shaft run-out was described.
