The purpose of this research is to describe the situation of versus cooperative enterprises knowledge management, for which there will be a descriptive study since this leads to the analysis and description of a series of indicators currently determine the existence of some forms of proper use of knowledge in business, way they have made the implementation of knowledge management elements, such as educational level of the members, the creation or acquisition of knowledge, use of tools for knowledge management management of internal and external information, adaptation the tics, among other variables. This analysis leads to a recognition of the importance to the cooperative business sector the implementation of knowledge management processes to improve their productivity and competitiveness process which is directly proportional to socioeconomic development, increased resources that provide more welfare possible social and thus improving the living conditions of their members and communities in the area of influence of this. Among the results we need the cooperative sector has a high capacity for the generation of tacit knowledge among its members and employees as they can identify their best practices, however do not have an explicit way by the lack of tools and clear means that allow the encoding and storage of knowledge within the company. It is concluded that the acquisition of knowledge in the cooperative companies surveyed in Santa Marta, Cienaga and Fundacion are carried out through a corporate facilitator.
