A survey of the elemental composition of alloy for dental amalgam.
1979
Abstract— Fifty-one silver amalgam alloys were analysed quantitatively for elemental composition by a specially developed procedure depending largely on atomic absorption spectroscopy. All were dental alloys commercially available in Australia and both conventional and high-copper types were tested. The results for individual alloys are detailed for Ag, Sn, Cu, Zn, Hg, In, Cd, Pb and Sb contents.
