Objective To explore an effective security barrier for rodent monitoring,and to provide the basis for monitoring epidemic.Methods The five lines of defense and monitoring for mice at ports was established in channel,urban,suburban,field area,and other places.The monitoring of animals,media,and human outbreaks were conducted by seting of people,timing,location.Results In the fist line of entry-exit channel at ports,the important medical media of neighbors were captured,and identified as 7 orders of 10 families and 16 kinds of 54 batch.In the second line of downtone area,the third line of suburbs and the fourth of field,the imported plague host,media,new species and major epidemic were found.In the fifth defence,a total of 13 cases with the plague epidemic were found,the residents themselves captured mice for 9 times.In the past 7 years,the remarkable achievements was cut off the outside of the spread of epidemic,to reduce the rodents in the urban habitat and medium superiority population density,weaken migration from subarbs to downtone and exchange,to master the host,the media,the crowd epidemic dynamic,and to control timely the hidden and risk of the epidemic disease at ports.Conclusion It is a significant innovation,the establishment of five lines of defense and monitoring for mice at 'Alashankou port have the comprehensive monitoring advantage with multi-mode,multi-zone,multi-site,and multi-functional and fill a mumber of blank in health and quarantine of rat monitoring.
