PEMODELAN SISTEM PANAS BUMI PARANG WEDANG KABUPATEN BANTUL, YOGYAKARTA BERDASARKAN DATA GEOLOGI, GEOMAGNETIK DAN GEOKIMIA
2017
Di Desa Parangtritis, Kecamatan Kretek, Kabupaten Bantul, Daerah
Istimewa Yogyakarta terdapat satu manifestasi panas bumi, yaitu mataair panas
Parang Wedang. Kontrol struktur yang terukur berupa normal-sinistral fault
(N23oE/59o,22o SW) yang relatif berarah Timurlaut-Baratdaya yang diperkirakan
menjadi jalan fluida manifestasi mataair panas Parang Wedang. Karakteristik
fluida reservoar sistem panas bumi Parang Wedang termasuk kedalam kategori air
klorida yang netral. Dari hasil analisa suhu reservoar menggunakan
geotermometer diketahui bahwa sistem panas bumi Parang Wedang sebesar
kurang lebih115oC, dan termasuk kedalam kategori suhu rendah.
In Parangtritis Village, Kretek District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of
Yogyakarta, there are geothermal manifestations, i.e. hot springs with temperature
47oC and 49oC known as "Pemandian Air Panas Parang Wedang". The existence
of the hot springs is an indicator of the availability of geothermal systems beneath
the surface. It encourages research to model the Parang Wedang geothermal
system, which could be definedas non-volcanic geothermal systems in Indonesia.
This research aims to interpret the types of rocks, which act as reservoir and heat
source, structural control, fluid characteristic and temperature reservoir of the
Parang Wedang geothermal system.
The main method used is a geophysical method, i.e. geomagnetic method.
The other methods such as geological methods (including field mapping and
petrographic analysis) and geochemical methods using geoindicator trilinear
diagram and geothermometer.
From the data processing of 3G (Geology, Geophysics, and
Geochemistry), the rocks that act as a reservoir is breccias. Breccia is permeable
and has a high porosity and could be at a depth of 600 meters from the surface.
The heatsource is estimated from the Miosen Parangtritis volcanoes that covered
the Parang Wedang area. The measured structure control is the normal-sinistral
fault (N23oE / 59o, 22o SW), which is oriented relatively Northeast-Southwest,
which is could be the fluid pathways of The Parang Wedang hot spring.
Characteristics of reservoir fluid geothermal system Parang Wedang are neutral
chloride water. From the geothermometer analysis, it can be concluded that the
reservoir temperature is around115oC, which could be categories as low
temperature geothermal system.
