A study of the causes and manegment of pseudoaneurysm after angiography and interventional therapy

Objective To determine incidence,cause and treatment of femoral pseudoaneurysms post cerebral vascular angiography and interventional treatment.Methods Analysis of clinical characteristic and the effects of treatment were done among 15 patients with femoral pseudoaneurysm in 192 patients.Results 15 in 192 patients suffered with femoral pseudoaneurysm,which incidence was 7.8 percent,14 patient suffered with interventional therapy.8 patients exercising early.patients with femoral pseudoaneurysm were older than patients without femoral pseudoaneurysm.9 in 15 patients with femoral pseudoaneurysm had hypertension.All patient with femoral pseudoneurysm were well healed,12 by compression repair(CR),3 by ultrasound guided thrombin injection(UGTI).Conclusion Anticoagulation,early exercise,aged and hypertension are risk factors of femoral pseudoaneurysm post brain angiography and interventional treatment.CR and UGTI are good methods to treat femoral pseudoaneurysm.
