Local Deformation of NURBS Curves

The paper introduces a new geometrical method of NURBS curve deformation providing the satisfaction of N position constraints through control point displacement. The local influence of each constraint is controlled by a function defining a specific deformation which permits to handle a well-determined problem. The convergence of this iterative algorithm is proved and entails a direct classical algebraic formalization. But applying the iterative version allows to stop the computations as soon as an expected error is reached while providing a better numerical stability. §
