There are two basic approaches to the development of detection methods in THz frequency range lying between microwave and infrared frequencies: «moving up» the operation range of electron microwave devices and «bringing down» the methods for the development of optoelectronic devices. An overview of existing methods for receiving terahertz radiation is presented.
