Benzimidazole compound and medicament for central nervous system disorder

PURPOSE: To obtain a new benzimidazole compound useful for the treatment of various central nervous system disorders such as epilepsy and other convulsive disorders, anxiety, sleep disorders and memory disorders. CONSTITUTION: This is a compound of formula I {R 3 is formula II to formula IV [X is N, C-R' (R' is H, or combines together with R 4 to form formula V, formula VI (R''' is H or alkyl; (m) is 0 or 1) or a bridge of N=C); among A, B, C and D, one is N and others are CH; among E, F, G and K, one is N-R" (R" is H or alkyl) and others are CH; R" is (substituted)phenyl, NO 2 , NH 2 , CN, alkoxy, acryl or the like]; R 6 and R 7 are each H, halogen, NH 2 , NO 2 , CN, acylamino, CF 3 , alkyl, alkoxy, (substituted)phenyl, (substituted)aryl or the like, or combine together or form a bridge of -CH=CH-CH=N-, =N-S-N= or the like; R 4 is H, NH 2 , NO 2 , CN, halogen, acylamino, (substituted) phenyl or the like}, e.g. 1-[3-(3-pyridyl)phenyl]-5-methylaldoximobenzimidazole.
