Counting performance and resolution of an HPLC radioactivity monitor

Preliminary investigations clearly demonstrate the potential application of a solid scintillator to count beta emitters in the effluent streams from HPLC systems. Counting efficiencies of 6% for3H; 70% for14C; 10% for32P; 72% for125I were obtained. Spectra resolution permits practical application of simultaneous radionucleide monitoring.
