IOT Search Engines: Study of Data Collection Methods

Internet of Things (IOT) presents the trend in the world of computing science, which occupies a great interest in research and industry, offers a new field of creativity and innovation and can be applied in different areas such as education, agriculture, and industry. The number of IOT solutions developed attained 25.2 billion according to study of GSMA, their deployment in different areas improve the quality of life and will make the environment intelligent and conducive to all human activity. Searching information about connected devices and information about IOT topic in the world became possible by a search tools dedicated to IOT. In this work, we are interested in data collection methods used by IOT search engines, more precisely network port scanning and data generated by this method.
