Establishment and investigation of experimental reduced size procine mode of living doner liver transplantation

2009
Objective To establish and investigate a experimental reduced size procine mode of living doner liver transplantation. Methods Twenty domestic pigs of both sexes, weighting 25 - 30 kg, re-duced size about 1/3 of orthotopic liver transplantation, the changes of hemodynamics, metabolism and temperature were investigated. Results The survival rate after one week was 65%, operative time of re-cipient was (220 ± 31) min, the recipient underwent anhepatic period of (35± 6) min. Conclusions The result indicates that the model is reliable in the study of reduced size procine mode of living doner liver transplantation.
