A newagricultural farming andmanagement system isproposed, whichisbasedonrealtimefield monitoring ofagricultural related information using aField Server. TheField Server monitoring network system was developed ata vineyardatObuse-town inNagano, Japan. Dataofenvironmental condition (solar-radiation , temperature, relative humidity, andsoil moisture) andgrowth information (leaf andbranch shapes, blooming, fruiting andsize) wereautomatically collected bytheField Server andtransferred toapersonal computer inside ahouse through awireless LAN whichcould connect thetwoplaces atadistance ofabout 300m.These information areusednotonly forfarming, butalso foragri-tourism that will beoneofstrategies fortheObuse's agricultural industry withsustainable development.
