The use of antennas with elliptic polarization in meteor-based radio systems

1994
It is shown that the use of transmitting and receiving antennas with circular polarization in bistatic meteor-based radio links restores the reciprocity of the propagation of radio waves in the meteor channel up to an undetermined value of the phase that depends on the magnitude of the Faraday effect in the ionosphere. It is necessary to use antennas with the same direction of rotation at both points in order to decrease this undetermined value of the phase.
