本邦での大腸癌の増加は各種疫学調査から明らかである.増加する癌の対策が急がれる中で,二次予防としての集検に便潜血検査がスクリーニングとして取り上げられた.グアヤック法から免疫法への転換により,便潜血検査による大腸集検方式が確立しつつある.現在推奨されている集検方式を紹介し,成績・問題点などを概説した.
