Research on Day-ahead Peak Load Regulation Strategy of Fused Magnesium Load Based on Genetic Algorithm

Large-scale wind power integration has brought huge challenges to the balance between the power generation side and the demand side. As one of the most important industrial loads, fused magnesium load has good regulation characteristics, which can improve the wind power absorption capacity of the power system. This article first introduces the production process and electricity characteristics of fused magnesium load. Then the fused magnesium load and its peripheral equipment load model are established respectively. On this basis, the fused magnesium load model is incorporated into the day-ahead dispatch of the power system. Finally, the genetic algorithm is used to solve the scheduling problem. The calculation example shows the necessity of using fused magnesium load as a peak regulation resource. The proposed peak load regulation strategy can effectively reduce the amount of wind curtailment.
