Tipos de alergias y afectación en la población

Introduction It is known as allergy to the abnormal reaction of the defense systems of the organism against certain foreign substances called allergens. Objectives The objective is to know the types of allergies as well as their affectation in the population. Methodology This is a cross-sectional narrative descriptive study conducted through a literature review in the databases of Pubmed, Cochrane Libary, Scielo, Cuiden. The keywords used were “allergy”, “types of allergy”, and “factors” combined with AND and OR operators. Results Allergies can be of five different types according to the route through which the infection enters the body. According to the type of allergy may cause some symptoms or others. Allergies can be caused by indoor inhalants such as arthropods, animals and dust, outdoor inhalants such as pollen and hogs, food ingestion allergies, bites, injections, or contact. Conclusion The incidence of allergies has increased in recent years however, allergy testing has been a therapeutic breakthrough for the population as it allows us to know the main cause of many of the pathologies.
