Automatic measurement and handling of charge spectra of a source of multiply charged ions

Translated from Prib. Tekh. Eksp.; 16: No. 3, 92-96(1973). A method is described for automating the process of measurement and handling of the principal parameters of the source of multiply charged ions (the distribution of the masses of charges of the ions and their relative intensity) for operation into a line with a small TRA-1001 electronic computer. The experimenter controls the measurement system by means of keyboard teletype cornmands and an oscilloscope block. The source is for heavy ion injection into cyclic accelerators. (auth)
