Tutorial A.P. Alekseeva, «Legal statistics», which became the winner of Russian contest for the best scientific book of 2012, conducted by the Fund of development of a domestic education among the teachers ofhigher educational institutions and scientific employees of research institutions, published in the Volgograd Academy of the MIA of Russia. This book presents a new approach to the study of criminal justice statistics. It discusses some of the considerations of the General theory of statistics necessary for clarification of the main provisions of this discipline. A key focus on the legal regulation of statistical accounting information collected on the territory of the Russian Federation.
