PCCV: Parallel Cancellation and Convolution Viterbi Encoding/Decoding Approach for MIMO-OFDMA for Efficient Resource Allocation and Power Consumption

2019
The advancement in wireless communication with devices like smart mobile and tablets have significantly improved the necessary throughput of wireless communication schemes. However, achieving better speed data packets amenities is a major concern for the quality of various multimedia communications applications. The recent technique OFDM offers many of the significant features, but it has got some interference at carriers, i.e., inter-carrier interference (ICi). In order to tackle these interferences, the existing techniques adapted cyclic prefix which again leads to redundancy in transmitted data. Also, the transmission of this redundant data may lead to consuming some extra power and bandwidth. These limitations can be eliminated by using parallel cancellation mechanism. The MIMO-OFDMA is the effective scheme to achieve this high data rate which also associations with benefits of both the architectures of MIMO and OFDMA modulation approach. Thus, the MIMO-OFDMA system is analyzed with three different approaches like performance analysis without parallel cancellation, OFDMA with parallel cancellation (OFDMA-PC) and proposed system having OFDMA with parallel cancellation and Convolution Viterbi encoding/decoding for 4×4 transmitter and receiver. From performance analysis, it is observed that the proposed system in terms of power and resource allocation (bandwidth) is achieved with high data rate by minimized BER rate and also with that the power consumption with least BER is reduced.
