Cartridge housing edge material (5) present in roll form as coil (4) for automatic or mechanized placement machines continuous, stationary or similar step, comprising: - a housing (2) for supporting the edge material (5) which it is present in roll form, - a driver device (11) to drive the top layer of the coil (4), - a delivery unit (14) for supporting and fixing the end of the coil material cantear, for which the delivery device (14) has a gap of delivery in which the edge material (5) of the coil is guided on two opposite sides and having a device freewheeling is prepared for prevent the edge material (5) to slide back again into the housing (2), and - a coupling device (18) provided in the housing (2) for gripping and handling the cartridge.
