A Methodology for Upgrading Legacy Middleware Ginga Implementations to Profile Ginga-D

Currently, the Brazilian digital television system is migrating its middleware approach from profile Ginga-C to an integrated broadcast-broadband (IBB) strategy, known as profile Ginga-D. Nonetheless, there is no indication regarding how to implement the new IBB services, while maintaining compatibility with older features. The present work proposes a methodology able to extending current implementations, in a systematic way, with the goal of harmonization maintenance among modules and conformance regarding current standards.
