Polymorphisms of HPA-1 Through 6 on Platelet Membrane Glycoprotein Receptors Are Not a Genetic Risk Factor for Myocardial Infarction in the Japanese Population

••• Eighty-eight Japanese patients having a first myocardial infarction before age 60 years were eligible for the study. All patients were admitted to the coronary care unit of Matsuyama Red Cross Hospital, and the diagnosis of myocardial infarction was established according to World Health Organization criteria.
