(57) Abstract: The present invention, by reduction of optically active carboxylic acid with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one other metal or transition metal from other 23 ruthenium 82 of atomic number, the higher yield more at low temperatures and short reaction times, a higher mirror image of purity (enantiomeric purity), about an easy way to obtain a more pure optically active alcohol.
