Effects of Soil-Structure Interaction on Foundation Motion

Through analyzing the data of shaking table tests of dynamic soil sturcture interaction(SSI) system, several issues about the effect of SSI on foundation motion are studied in this paper. By the effect of SSI, the rotating motion of foundation is quite notable. The spectral component of foundation motion is changed, and the motion of foundation is smaller than that of free field. Some factors related to the effect of SSI on foundation motion are also investigated.
