Cellulosic material with impregnation and use of this cellulose material

2013
The invention relates to a cellulose material comprised of cellulose fibers (12) which are provided with an impregnation. According to the invention it is provided that an impregnation (13) of the cellulose fibers of polyethylenimine (13). The impregnation forms a kind of network (14), which can reduce the specific resistance of the cellulosic material due to the electrical conductivity of this network. Thereby, the cellulose material may advantageously be adapted to respective applications with regard to its electrical properties. One use of the cellulosic material is therefore also directed the electrical insulation of transformers, wherein the cellulosic material is thereby impregnated with transformer oil and adjusting the resistivity of the cellulose material to the resistivity of the oil leads to an improved breakdown strength of the transformer insulation. Moreover, the invention relates to a method for producing the cellulose material described above having a suitable impregnation step for the cellulose material.
