An implantable one-piece device comprising a caprolactone e-biodegradable biocompatible polymer selected from homopolymers and copolymers of lactide, glycolide, p-dioxanone (1,4-dioxan-2-one) and trimethylene carbonate (1,3-dioxan 2-one) mixed with rilpivirine in base form or as pharmaceutically acceptable salt and one or more enhancing agents selected from the group consisting release of poloxamers, polysorbates, and a combination of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and poly (vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP), wherein the device contains 25% by weight to 70% by weight of rilpivirine in base form or as pharmaceutically acceptable salt form.
