Review on technologies of reducing dioxin in flue gas from sintering process

As one of the most toxic and permanent organic pollutants,the dioxin has been a particular concern by the whole world due to its environment pollution.Dioxin is mostly produced during the sintering in the iron and steel making processes.Based on the mechanism of dioxin generation and characteristic of flue gas emission during sintering,the article discusses and analyzes separately the existing technique of dioxin control in three aspects of source management,process control and flue gas treatment of sintering process.And the article suggests,in consideration of the huge amount of flue gas emission and complicated chemical composition,that the comprehensive measures for energy-saving and emission reduction should be also adopted to control the chloride source at the beginning of process,circulate the flue gas during process,and treat the flue gas at the end of process,instead of using the technique to control dioxin only.
