Effects of Adaptive Digital Predistortion Feedback Parameters on Linearization Performance

2020
Power amplifiers that are used in communication systems have nonlinear behavior in the compression and the saturation regions where they can work efficiently. Nonlinear effects cause distortion on signal at the output of the power amplifiers. For this reason, a tradeoff arises between power efficiency and linearity. Digital predistortion techniques are used to enhance linearity of signals at the output of the power amplifiers working efficiently at its compression point. In this work, adaptive digital predistortion design is described and the effects of feedback parameters of adaptive digital predistortion on linearization performance are analyzed.
