Nonsteroid anti inflamatuar ilaç (NSAİİ) kullanan hastalarda oluşan gastroduodenal lezyonların önlenmesinde misoprostolun yeri

In this study, 53 patients who applied to Medical Faculty of Medicine Physical Treatment & Rehabilitation and Internal medicine departments between August 1994 and August 1995 were accepted. These patients had been taking NSAID for a long time. 24 patients continued NSAID only but 29 patients used misoprostol additionally. Endoscopic examination was done at the beginning and 4 weeks later. Gastric pH, blood Gastrin, Na, K, BUN, Cr, AST, ALT levels were controlled. After that, these two groups were compared with each other. In the point of NSAID users only, there was an increase in gastrodoudenal mucosal injury.
