STATIONARY STATE OF A PLASMA AT LOW PRESSURE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN AMBIPOLAR ELECTRIC FIELD

By considering the probability distributions of the magnetic field lines, a condition is obtained under which a lowpressure plasma in and ambipolar electric field has a stationary state. It is shown that three classes of states satisfy this condition. (tr-auth)
