Lack of Effect of Remoxipride on Antidiuretic Hormone Secretion in Healthy Volunteers

1991
Remoxipride is a recently developed benzamide derivative with well established antipsychotic efficacy. Several other antipsychotic compounds have been shown to induce alterations in water and electrolyte balance due to an effect on the secretion of antidiuretic hormone (ADH). 11 healthy male volunteers (mean age 33 years) participated in a double blind, placebo controlled, crossover study to investigate whether remoxipride interacts with the secretion of ADH following fluid restriction.
