ELECTROMYOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF THE BICEPS MUSCLE FOLLOWING STANDARD AIR DIVES USING FREQUENCY ANALYSIS: A FEASIBILITY STUDY

Abstract : Frequency analysis of the electromyogram has been shown by clinical investigators to have some usefulness in diagnosing muscular and nerve disorders. The same methods employed following diving exposure were used to evaluate muscle frequency discharge. This was done with the idea of early diagnosis and evaluation of decompression sickness. The results of this experiment were such that no definite conclusion could be made although the feasibility of the approach could be evaluated as promising.
