Integrated “planar bowtie antenna-bolometer detector” system modeling for the terahertz range

An implementation of THz radiation sensors invokes a multidisciplinary special knowledge in this area. In a contrast to visible or infrared regions, where it is sufficient only detector element for direct signal absorption, in mm and sub-mm regions antenna electrical coupling is preferable for the signal input to the detecting element with the dimensions much smaller then the signal wavelength. This antenna with the area much bigger then the detectors area transfers received power to the detecting element.
