pH adjustment in small volume solutions

Abstract Adjustment of pH in small volume solutions is difficult to attain without significant dilution of the experimental or test solution. Reducing the volume of titrant by using very concentrated solutions or by evaporating the solvent allows the attainment of accurate pH adjustment with a minimum dilution effect. With the use of a thin glass filament or Nichrome wire titrant carrier, very accurate pH adjustments can be obtained.
